As I think of cousin Georgia, I remember her starched white Nursing dress, white shoes and warm smile. Georgia was one of the first black professional women in my life that intrigued, and influenced me. When I would see Georgia she would greet my mother “ Hey Aunt Shirley”, then she always looked directly at me with understanding. She would tilt her head slightly and smile so warmly. Georgia was a loving, free spirited beautiful soul.
