Sharol Sherrie Curry

Board Member/Funeral Director

Sharol Curry has been serving families at MeadowLawn Funeral Home since 1986. With decades of experience, she is guided by a simple but powerful purpose: to serve. Sharol is known for her attentive nature, listening ear, and genuine care for every family she meets, providing support with compassion and dedication.

She values the diversity of the San Antonio community and has remained deeply involved in her church for many years. A longtime member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church since 1976, Sharol serves in multiple ministries including the Youth Usher Ministry, JJ Usher Ministry, Joint Usher Ministry, and Culinary Ministry. She is also active with the City Wide Ushers and the San Antonio Ladies Auxiliary of Funeral Directors and Morticians.

Sharol studied at Prairie View A&M University, St. Philip’s College, and San Antonio College, and earned her funeral director license in 2007. Her strength lies in her ability to truly listen and care for the needs of others.

Outside of work, Sharol enjoys cooking, entertaining, reading, and spending time with her family. She is the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.

I would like to thank Kassi Q. for the wonderful service she provided for myself and my family. We experienced two unexpected deaths just a few weeks apart. Each one had its unique needs. Kassi was patient and professional showing sincere concern for each of us in our different stages of grief. I want to thank her immensely, she has a gift for what she does.
I also want to mention that everyone I met during my interactions was very kind. The mortuary is beautiful inside, church service was being held one morning and it was a nice distraction to hear the singing. The lawns of the cemetery are also beautifully kept.

I don’t do reviews often but I had to share my experience about Meadowlawn Mortuary with viewers. It all started in 2007, I lost my father and Meadowlawn was our choice. The service was great! My brother passed in 2021, without hesitation we called Meadowlawn. Again the service was great. A this point, I knew that my family would use no other funeral home. I lost my mother one week ago and from the moment that I contacted Meadowlawn until my mom’s burial, the service was absolutely perfect. Rachel and Brian took great care of me and my family during this difficult time. MY MOM LOOKED BEAUTIFUL! In my opinion, their work is unmatched. The service, the support, and the compassion shown was amazing. The staff was professional at all times and went beyond our comprehension. We were amazed. It was too good to be true. It was perfection. Meadowlawn once again exceeded our expectations. Rachel’s calm demeanor was comforting , soothing and helpful when I was falling apart. She was on top of it, from the smallest to the most important details. Meadowlawn is the best.

Meadow lawn was recommended by a friend of my mother as her son is resting here. I called, got information over the phone and staff was amazing. Scheduled an appointment for the following day with Shawna and Kassie. Upon our arrival both Shawna and Kassie were very welcoming as well as any staff we came in contact with. Shawna and Kassie were very informative and understood we were shopping around especially considering my brothers passing was definitely unexpected. After going home my mother and I decided to make meadow lawn my brothers resting place while also deciding to purchase property for herself and my other brother (when their time comes). Kassie Quintanilla kept in touch with us every step of the way. She built such a rapport with us it was so comfortable to ask any questions and know we were going to get an answer in a way we would all understand. When the day came to see my brother for our “stamp of approval”, let me tell you my brother looked so much like himself. My family has had to lay a few family members to rest and none had looked like themselves as much as my brother did. Kassie, thank you so much for being patient,kind, friendly and understanding with us. Just overall went above and beyond for us!!! Once the service was over we found out we had other friends and family that have loved ones at Meadow Lawn. I can definitely see why!!! Again, Shawna and Kassie THANK YOU.

My mother-in-law arranged her cremation years ago with Meadowlawn. She passed last week in hospice in a nursing home in Fredericksburg. We are in another state and this whole thing has been seamless. Our interactions with Rachel at Meadowlawn have been professional, thorough and she has shown such kindness and empathy. Everything, and I mean everything, has been handled with the utmost care. My family received excellent service and respect throughout this process. Ms. Watson was able to anticipate our needs before we knew what came next. I received comments from individuals on the program that Whitney called them by name and showed them where to go, etc. I second guessed myself which showed I was stressed. My husband and I would like to thank MeadowLawn Funeral home from the bottom of our hearts for going above and beyond to make Belo, our retired Military Working Dog’s passing services as smooth as they possibly could’ve been. My mother chose to take advantage of preparing ahead of time to save her children the added stress of planning things after she had passed.
