Shawna Smith

Shawna Smith has been serving families at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park since 2018. She views her work as more than a job, but a true calling. Each day, she walks alongside families during some of life’s most difficult moments, offering compassion, comfort, and guidance. Shawna finds deep meaning in knowing that her care and patience can bring even a small sense of peace to those she serves.

Her strength in this role is rooted in her life experience. As a foster parent for 12 years, Shawna helped care for and support 42 children, an experience that shaped her deep empathy, understanding, and ability to connect with others during challenging times.

Shawna attends Talley Road Baptist Church and values the role faith plays in her life and service to others.

At home, Shawna enjoys time with her teenage son, her mother, and their dog, Daisy. She also enjoys reading, working in the yard, arts and crafts, and antique shopping.
