Geraldine "Deanie" Mason

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend, Geraldine Mason, affectionately known as “Deanie, Gerl, Granny or GG” entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2022 at the age of 77. She was born in Skidmore, Texas to Joseph Mason and Josephine Toliver on July 31, 1944.

Geraldine, “Deanie” was a loving Mother Grandmother and Great Grandmother who genuinely poured her pure love into all of her family and friends. She had way of making everyone feel important and individually loved, unconditionally. Her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. She also loved her dogs, Precious and Pebbles.

Deanie enjoyed spending time with family. She was an avid sports fan; Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Antonio Spurs being a few of her favorite teams. Deanie was a woman of God, and her faith and strength were unmatched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love will be carried on forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son: Dwight Mason, granddaughter: Crystal Smith, sisters: Barbara Hicky, Dorothy Evans, Daisy Lee, and brothers: Edward Canada and Chester Canada.

She leaves in her memory, her daughter: Pamela Mason (Kindel); grandchildren: Dwight Smith (Madison), Ramon Smith (Brittane), Jazzmin Mason (Montago), Justin Mason (Crystal), Noel Smith, and Akeem Smith (Chelsea), step-granddaughter: Ma’Kiya Singleton; 16 great-grandchildren who affectionately called her “GG”, many other close relatives and friends.
