Inez Speer

Alice Inez Rose Speer past away January 28, 2022. She was born in Stockdale, Texas March 21, 1935. Inez attended High School (9th -11th grade) in Gonzales, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston High School, San Antonio, Texas in 1954 and married Donald C. Speer.   In 1970, she graduated with a BS in Art Education from Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas and began teaching Art at East Central School District. Inez received her Masters in School Administration at Kingsville A&I. She then and transferred to ECHS Administration in 1980 and retired in 2003. Inez used her many talents at school events and was well known for her creative involvement in the school crash posters, teacher workday breakfast and the EC Academic Awards program.
She was actively involved in the local Susanna Dicken Chapter of the DAR and served as the President. She was also an active member of the National DAR choir. She loved her family, loved her career, believed strongly in the power of education, the power of love and the power of Jesus Christ.
