Maria Antonieta Jimenez

January 17, 1954 ~ June 29, 2023
Resided in:
San Antonio, Texas
Maria Antoñieta Jimenez went home to her Lord and Savior peacefully with her children and family by her side on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in San Antonio, Tx. She was 69 years old at her passing.
Toña as she was affectionately known, was born to Marco Antonio De Luna and Hortencia Santana on January 17, 1954, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico.
At a young age, she established a strong work ethic to be able to support and provide opportunities for her siblings and family. She was nurturing and selfless, always thinking of others before herself. She enjoyed working in the Thomas Edison High School cafeteria for many years with her second children who all affectionately called her mom. Maria loved and cared for all her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and granddaughter.
Maria was a faithful member of Iglesia Pueblo de Dios for over 20 years bringing many others to find God. Some of her favorite bible verses were Psalms 46:5 and Philippians 4:13.
She is already missed by her son, Alberto Antonio, daughters Veronica Gabriela and Mayra Alejandra, and her granddaughter, her treasure Aeriel Jeneve. Other family members who will miss her profoundly are her mother Hortencia Santana, brothers, Homero Morales, Wvaldo Morales (Maribel), Daniel Morales, Cesar Morales (Bero), her sister Lydia Garza (Arturo), her sister-in-laws Juanita Morales, Nina Estrada, her goddaughters Reyna Oritz, Daniela Benavidez, Susana Solis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
When Maria went to heaven, she was reunited with her father Toño De Luna, brother Miguel De Luna, sister Elsa Morales, best friend Argentina Loy, and other members of her extended family.
Maria was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God. She would always challenge those around her to be the best version of themselves. Her heart was golden and she opened her doors to those who were in need. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, never-ending humor, the happiness she shared with those around her, her love of dancing, her passion for cooking, and most importantly, lifting up God through praise.
The family would like to thank Marina Morales, Susy Cazares, and Paula Mejia for caring for Maria in her last few months. It is with great appreciation that they cared for this amazing godly woman, our mother, grandmother, godmother, sister, aunt, friend, and sister in Christ.

I was principal at Edison and she made sure that I had something to eat. She was an awesome lady that nurtured our kids.
