Viola Kennedy Coleman was born to Albert and Minerva Kennedy as the youngest of 12 children in Boykin/Gees Bend, Alabama.
She gave her life to the Lord at an early age, and was a fervent prayer warrior staying in constant prayer, even in her last moments, until God said that it was time to take her to rest.
Viola married Bernard Coleman Jr, was a military wife and mother of 6. Margaret Coleman, Robert Coleman (deceased), Minerva “Bunny” Raynor (deceased), Bernice “Cookie” Holmes, Bernard “Lil BJ” Coleman III (deceased), Rose McGarity (LD). She was a dedicated employee and a blessing to her employer at Coca-Cola Bottling Company, San Antonio division for 23 years.
After retirement, some of her favorite past times included spending time with family, watching the Spurs, laughing and telling jokes, barbecuing, sun-gazing and enjoying nature. She loved nurturing her plants and had a green thumb.
Viola leaves a legacy of love, 3 daughters, Margaret, Cookie, and Rosie; 1 living sister, 98 year old, Sallie Titus; 11 Grandchildren, Eddie Jr. and Anthony King, Tiffany Samms (Wayne), Jennifer Walker (Reginald), Bernard IV and Eric Coleman, Christine Coleman, Chanté Patterson, Anthony Davis (Victoria), Joe Coleman, LaStarsha Walker (Micah). 11 great grandchildren, Derrick Wilson Jr., Brodrick Dirke, Jada Wilson, Breonna King, BreShai Neil (JeToryan), Jarius King, BreLynd Cyphers, Brooklyn Wilkinson, Massiah Bratcher, Jeremiah Butler, Emmanuel Francis, and Dallas King; 3 great great grandchildren, Carter Peyton, and Noah Neil also a host of beloved nieces and nephews from Alabama and other states all across the nation, sons-in-law, and wonderful friends.
