It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael James “Mr. Michool” McMunn, age 41, of Scituate, Massachusetts. Michael passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, he was a son, husband, father, brother, friend, and passionate spirit who touched the lives of many through his zest for life and his deep connection with the natural world.
Michael had an adventurous spirit, with a love for the great outdoors. He spent many weekends camping and hiking in parks and lakes, where he found peace and joy in nature’s beauty. Whether summiting a peak or simply sitting by a quiet stream, Michael felt most alive surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness.
A talented musician, Michael was an accomplished guitarist who found solace in the melodies he played. Although I didn’t know Michael like I knew his wife Chelsey (former neighbor), I remember the first time I met him with Chelsey. Chelsey explained how she loved to offer hugs to friends and acquaintances she encountered. I appreciate every hug she shared with me because hugs are rare for me. That is how she and Michael met on the San Antonio College campus. Their friendship flourished into love, life, marriage, and children. Beautiful family. Peace be with Michael’s wife Chelsey and three children, his mother Kathleen, and Aunt Carol, Chelsey’s mother Vicki and Chelsey’s sister Brandy and brother Andrew. Michael will forever remain in their hearts.
Much love
