Belinda Alameda Gonzales

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Belinda Gonzales beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sister, who peacefully left us on March 2, 2025.

Born on December 23, 1954, Belinda graced this world for 70 beautiful years, a life rich in love, laughter, and selfless giving. She was a guiding light, not only for her family but for everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her journey was one of quiet generosity and unwavering support—a woman who gave with an open heart and without seeking recognition. Whether it was donating to the battered women’s shelter or anonymously helping families in need, her compassion knew no bounds. She found happiness in bringing joy to others, and her selfless acts of kindness are a testament to the incredible person she was.

Belinda’s greatest achievements were not measured by accolades or awards but by the love she poured into her family. She was their greatest champion and number one fan at sports games and performances to celebrating every milestone, big or small, her pride in them was palpable. Her passion for family extended beyond her immediate circle, as she supported her nieces, nephews, —always present, always cheering, with a smile that could light up any room.

Family gatherings were the heartbeat of Belinda’s life. Whether it was the playful chaos of epic cascarone wars or making tamales with her siblings. She enjoyed dancing with the love of her life, Jimmy, on the dance floor of family Christmas parties and taking road trips down to the coast where she enjoyed watching him fish. So many beautiful moments will forever be etched in our hearts.

We will miss Belinda’s unwavering strength and determination. She was a fighter, a woman who stood firmly for her beliefs and supported those she loved with the fierceness of an army. Having her in your corner was a gift, and her presence in our lives made us all stronger. She had a special love for “The Wizard of Oz,” and we imagine her opening her eyes in heaven, clicking her ruby red slippers together, and whispering, “There’s no place like home.” Belinda, you are now home with our heavenly father and those whom you loved that have gone before you. You were the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, godmother, aunt, and friend anyone could ever hope for. We will carry you in our hearts and cherish the beautiful memories you gifted us.

Belinda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jimmy A. Gonzales III, her children, Mark Gonzaba (Martha) and Sonny Gonzales (Sandy); grandchildren, Ray, Ismael, Serenity Grace and Sandra; great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Serenity; siblings Matilda Acosta, Richard Ramon, Tony Alameda and Lisa Yzquierdo. She is preceded in death by her mother Lydia Sanchez, father Antonio Alameda, sister Celia Martinez, and her brothers Juan Alameda and Joe Ramon. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends who were touched by her endless generosity, gentle spirit, and kind heart.

A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Thursday March 20, 2025, at MeadowLawn Funeral Home at 6pm.
