Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: Converse, Texas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Louis Armstrong, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on July 2, 2025 at the age of sixty-nine.

Robert was a man defined by love, laughter, and service. Known for his silly sense of humor, big heart, and unwavering dedication to his family, he brought warmth and joy to all who knew him. Whether sharing a laugh with his grandchildren, supporting his children with steadfast love, or being a comforting presence to his siblings, Robert lived each day with kindness and generosity.

A proud veteran, Robert devoted his life to the United States Army, serving his country with honor and integrity until his well-earned retirement. His commitment to duty was matched only by his devotion to others—especially the children whose lives he touched through his work and mentorship.

When he wasn’t doting on his family or offering a helping hand, Robert could often be found watching the news, keeping up with the world around him, and sharing thoughtful conversation with those he loved. He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and appreciated.

Robert is survived by his children DaShawn Jerome Evans, Yvonne “Michelle” Robert Armstrong Jr., and Jennifer Armstrong, along with grandchildren Ja’corey Armstrong, Ja’Vonte Armstrong, Ja’Tauria Miller, Ja’Taevion Anthony Brice Masterson, and Jaylen Williams.

Great Grandchildren

Princess Jayliana and Prince Myles

He also leaves siblings James Marcel “Marcie” Benavides, Rita Michelle Rosemond, Darnel ‘Dale” Bratcher, Tina Louise Bratcher, and Venus Rochelle Bratcher to cherish his memory.

Robert was loved deeply and will be missed beyond measure. His legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
