Isaiah Lonnell Lacy was born on November 7, 1973, to Isaiah Shaw and Sarah Darlene Lacy in Toledo, Ohio. At an early age, Isaiah accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Willie Davis at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Westland, Michigan.

In 1990, Isaiah moved to San Antonio, Texas, with his mother, where he later graduated from Roosevelt High School. During this time, he discovered and developed his love for music.

Isaiah leaves to cherish his memory his father, Isaiah Shaw of Katy, Texas; his mother, Sarah Darlene Lacy of Landis, North Carolina; and his children, Deveon Eddington of Wharton, Texas, Michael Ely of San Antonio, Texas, and Candice Lacy-Hernandez of Fort Collins, Colorado. He is also survived by his siblings, Veronica Hubbard of Katy, Texas, and Donnell Saxton of Toledo, Ohio.

Isaiah also leaves to cherish his memory his lifelong partner, Alistashia Dunbar, and his close friend, Heather Cross, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
