A Beautiful Life, A Lasting Love
Nichole Lanese Johnson passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love, comfort, and presence of those who meant the most to her. Born on October 19, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, to Robert Stevenson and Camille Bell, Nichole entered this world as a premature baby – already a fighter and survivor. Throughout her life, that same strength and determination remained a beautiful part of who she was.
Nichole was a woman who laughed deeply, smiled warmly, and loved grandly. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her, and she had a special way of making the people in her life feel loved. Her life was a testament to strength, beauty, perseverance, and the lasting impact of genuine love.
Nichole shared a remarkable and enduring love with her beloved husband, Fred Curtis Johnson. Together, they spent forty years building a life rooted in commitment, partnership, family, and devotion. Their journey together was a beautiful reflection of a love that stood the test of time.
Nichole was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Stevenson and Camille Bell; her brother, Albert Cornelius; and her nephew, Justin Jamal Freedom Thomas.
Those left to cherish her precious memory include her beloved husband, Fred C. Johnson; her children, Camille Stevenson, Jasmine Stevenson, Keyshawn Johnson, Tatyanne Johnson, and Natasha Wanger; her four sisters and two brothers; and her grandchildren, Giovanni Sam, Jamaal Sargent, Jaziya Peoples, Jaizeon Peoples, Kyrese Reed, and Kehlani Johnson. She also leaves a host of extended family members, friends, and all those blessed by the gift of knowing and loving her.
Nichole’s life can be remembered through the beauty of the things that symbolized her spirit. The sunflower represents growth, alignment, and happiness; the same qualities she brought into the lives of those around her. The diamond represents strength, beauty, and transformation, reminding us that even through life’s pressures, something precious can emerge stronger and more beautiful. Nichole was shaped by life’s experiences, yet she continued to shine with grace.
And when the rain comes, think of Nichole. Rain brings nourishment and renewal to everything it touches, just as Nichole’s love, talents, heart, and presence nourished the people fortunate enough to know her. May every rainy day become a gentle reminder that her love continues to live in the beauty she left behind.
Nichole was crafted to be gentle, genuine, and beautiful, an image of the peace and love God shares with us all. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain forever.
Her laughter. Her smile. Her strength. Her love.
Forever remembered. Forever loved. Forever in our hearts.
“Well lived. Deeply loved. Forever remembered.”
