Robert Eugene McCarthy

Bob was born April 26, 1941 in New York City. After graduation he joined the U.S. Air force with a career in Cryptography. After his military career he worked in communications and computers.
Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, friend, who served his country proudly in the Air Force.
Bob age 74, lived a full and wonderful life. He passed away September 22, 2015 from a lenghty, hard fought and courageous battle with Cancer.
After retirement Bob and his wife moved to a ranch in south Texas where they enjoyed the quiet of nature. As an avid animal and nature lover Bob, Elizabeth and their extensive animal collection loved the slow and easy country life.
He was a loving, kind and giving man. He will be missed by many.
Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth (Elly) McCarthy, his son Jeremy McCarthy and daughters Kim McCarthy, Julie Roper, Jennifer Opiela and sister Dorrie Anthony

Bob’s passing leaves many heartaches behind but also some of the greatest memories.. God Bless all those wonderful memories he has given to his devoted wife, Elly, and his children. Very sorry Bob has left us but so happy to know he is now pain free. There will be another bright star in the sky tonight and always.
Having known Elly and Bob prior to their marriage and seeing lots of ups and downs as all married couples have, I have to admit that they very seldom had any downs. Both of them were so well matched and their love was an honor to be in their circle of friends and relatives. RIP.
