Abel S. Gomez

Abel Serna Gomez was called home on November 16, 2015 at the age of 81. He was born May 5, 1934 in Municipio de General Teran, NL, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents Indalecio Gomez and Blanca Nieves Serna. Abel was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Andrea Flores Gomez, children - Mary Lou Gomez, Daniel Gomez, Abel Gomez Jr., Noemi Yolanda Prado, Misael Gomez, Esther Preston, Raquel Gomez-Shappell and Noelia Gomez. 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He loved his family and made sure they knew their extended family. Abel was a Church of Christ minister for 40 years. Serving God as a minister was his passion. He took great joy studying the bible and reading the scriptures with everyone and studied the bible with anyone who crossed his path. As a hobby he enjoyed playing the accordion and the guitar. He will be missed greatly by those whose lives he touched.
