Life's Reflections
Vivian Agnes was the fourth daughter born to Clarence Joseph Anderson, Jr and Dorothy Davis on April 22, 1943 in Granger, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age and was christened by Pastor T.S. Stewart at Burns Methodist Chapel, also in Granger, Texas.
Vivian started her education at Crispus Attucks School in Granger and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Bartlett, Texas. She also attended San Antonio College.
In 1965, Vivian and her family moved to San Antonio and became a member of Mount Gilead Church. She later joined Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in 1987 where she served as a member of the Senior Mission. She also served as a member of City Wide Mission, and the Granger Heritage Memorial and was the Secretary of The Texas Roughriders Trail Riding Club.
Vivian had a long successful career with City Public Service where she retired. After her retirement, she volunteered in the community feeding the less fortunate; she worked with several nonprofits organizations, including Blessed Angels Community Center and Redeeming Grace Christian Church's Food Pantry Ministry. On May 4, 2015, Vivian answered the Master's call, "Come Home", surrounded by her beloved husband and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Joseph Anderson, Sr.; her sister, Dorothy Griffin; her nieces, La Shonda Anderson and Sharon Mackey.
Vivian is survived by her husband of 15 years, Roosevelt County, her son, Glen E. Fulcher Jr. (Brenda) of Houston, Gwendolyn E. Fulcher of Largo, Maryland; six grandkids: Marcus Wilson, Tailonkah Ballard, Latricia Ward, Glen E. Fulcher III, Xavier Fulcher, all of Houston and Kara Rice of Largo, Maryland and 13 great kids.
She is survived by her Mother, Dorothy Amos of Sealy; one Aunt, Patsy Bracey of Klein; 5 Sisters: Billie Caldwell of Houston, Barbara Rice (Henry) of San Antonio, Clara Loving of San Antonio, Lynette Bassett (Gilbert) of Sealy, Kathy Glenn (Clement) of Navasota; Brother-in-Law, Lindsey Griffin of San Antonio; three brothers, Clarence Anderson Jr.(Diane), and Douglas Anderson(Mardenia) of San Antonio, Michael Anderson(Joann) of Sealy; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In her spare time, Vivian enjoyed traveling with her husband or sisters, having most recently visited California, Nevada, New Mexico and local Texas destinations. But, what she loved most of all was caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, creating special memories.
