Leopold (LEO) B. Garcia was called home by our Lord on April 14, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born October 25, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. Leo's career was in the Army spending 17 years in Europe where his tours of duty included Germany, Italy and Spain. Leo was multilingual speaking German, Italian, Spanish and English. Due to his language abilities he spent several years working in the US Embassy in Spain. After his military retirement he returned to San Antonio and owned several restaurants and partnered in ownership in the Little Rhine Steak house and La Paloma del Rio. He ventured into sales and managed the Lack's furniture store downtown. He retired a second time from Lacks only to return 2 years later and retired after 38 years at the age of 82. Leo was a workaholic but still found time to enjoy his property in Stockdale and Lake LBJ. Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Garcia. He is survived by daughter, Patricia Contreras; grandchildren, Jillian, Meghan Contreras, Jason, Michael Boyd, Elizabeth Boettcher; eight great- grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
