Patricia Rogers, born July 20, 1959 to Lonnie Wheeler and Julia Haywood. Patricia attended Highlands High School in San Antonio, Texas and went on to obtain an Associates Degree from St. Phillip's College. Early on she made life-long friendships with co-workers at Church's Chicken and later moved into her passion working with children and youth. The joy of her life came while working with children in various ministries and organizations such as U.T.O.T.O and Joven. She also taught and influenced lives at Copeland Elementary School in San Antonio and various campuses in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Her summers were highlighted by her involvement with the "King's Kid's Kamp at New Creation, where she was a faithful member for over two decades. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Rogers in 1969; her father, Lonnie Wheeler, in 1998; four brothers, Roosevelt Wheeler, 1978; Joseph Rogers, 1987; Stanley Randle and Samuel haywood, 2000; two sisters, Christine Rogers, 2002; and Lily Rogers, 2005. Patricia leaves to cherish her memory; five brothers, Johnny (Tamara) Williams of Odessa, Texas, Lorenzo Wheeler of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Wilton (Louisa) Rogers of Sapello, New Mexico, Cornell (Paulette) Wheeler of Houston, Texas and Edward (Carla) Wheeler of San Antonio, Texas, her sister-in-law Emarie Randle, three special friends; April Ball Short, Tonja Wilson Brown and Augustina Ramirez. Patricia also leaves to cherish her memories her only daughter, Shaunda (Lamont) Jenkins, her four wonderful grandchildren that adored her; Jeriah Rogers, Jordan Jenkins, Bryanna Jenkins and J'lyn Jenkins of Oak Point, Texas. She will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
