Mitchell P. Langin, born on August 14, 1957 went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2011, receiving his first blessing in Heaven. Mitch received his first blessing on earth in October 2010, at Community Bible Church, where he was a member. Mitch served in the U.S. Air Force at Norton AFB in Ontario, CA. as an A and P Mechanic and continued that profession after his discharge, working in many states. Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; son, Buchele of Mt. Calm, TX; parents, Phil and Betty Langin of Kerrville, TX; step-children, Jennifer Homer (Matt) of San Diego, CA. and Russ Scott (Amy) of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy Sanders (Bob) of Louisville, KY; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Robin Scott. Mitch will be missed by many, including the staff at Audie Murphy VA Hospital, who the family would like to acknowledge with great appreciation, especially Dr. David Haile and Dr. Kenny Utz. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. It was Mitch's request that guests are to wear casual or "come as you are" clothing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the family to help cover expenses.
Guestbook
Mitch was a very nice person. I wish I would have had a chance to know him better. He made my sister Joyce very happy and was a fun and interesting person. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mitch and his family.
I was Stationed with Mitch at Norton AFB in Sanbernardino Calif. in the early 80’s. He was a good friend, and a great personality, as well as a speak my mind kinda of a guy. We shared many a Concert, and Many a Beer=(at that time)together. after 1984 I believe Mitch was Discharged and I lost Touch with him. I am shocked to find out he has passed away, But I am Joyfull at the same time knowing that Mitch Recieved Jesus Christ ( and I will see him again in heaven), and is in the presence of the almighty in heaven. My Condolences go out to the Family,I only wish I would have been able to get ahold of Him before Mitch went to be with the Lord. God bless all of you and I am so sorry for your Loss. Eric
