Elroy A. Friesenhahn

Elroy "Roy" A. Friesenhahn, a resident of Converse, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011 in San Antonio at the age of 75. Roy was born on March 27, 1936 in Converse to Herbert Friesenhahn and Norma Fey Friesenhahn. Roy served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. During his professional career, Roy worked 25 years as a technician in the pest control industry. Roy is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Friesenhahn and a daughter, Donna Rene (DeeDee) Friesenhahn. He is survived by his wife, Joan Gardner Friesenhahn; daughters; Donna Carol Herrera, Danna Link, Lisa Gardner and son, Kenneth Gobar; brother, Eugene Friesenhahn and numerous grandchildren and extended family. A graveside memorial service with military honors is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery on Old Austin Rd. in Selma (behind Office Depot). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alamo Area Parkinson's Support Group, 8300 Floyd Curl Dr. MSC 7883, San Antonio, 78229.
