Joseph John Vermersch, Jr.

Joseph J. Vermersch Jr. passed away peacefully on June 23, 2015 at the age of 72. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 30, 1943 and was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. He was a Christian and, after graduating from Harlandale High School, served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for four years. After his service, he was self-employed in a television sales and repair business. He enjoyed the San Antonio Spurs throughout their long history and was a season ticket holder for many years. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Joseph E. Vermersch and is survived by his brother Thomas Vermersch (wife, Carol) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister Tanya Vermersch (husband, Roman M. Paez II) of San Antonio, Texas; his nephew Roman Alexander Paez of San Antonio, Texas; and other relatives and friends. He was a compassionate and loving brother and will be missed by his family and friends.

  1. Oh Bubba, how we miss you. I know that you are in Heaven with your Mom & Dad. You are Free, no longer in pain and in a much better place. There is no doubt in my mind that you made it to the pearly gates. You were kind, giving and noble to say the least. You were always there for me through the good times and bad and were never judgemental. You are one in a million with a heart of Gold, and I am proud to be called your sister. Me, Big Roman & Baby Roman loved you with all our heart. I refuse to say Goodbye because one day I know I will see you again, until then my brother.
