Dale L. Herndobler

Dale Herndobler of Pipe Creek passed away July 25, 2011. Dale was born in Chicago, IL in 1932 and died in San Antonio. In her long life she distinguished herself as a registered nurse for 44 years. Her specialty was pediatrics and she was a Certified Pediatric Nurse. She also served as a Captain in the USAF and the California Air National Guard. Dale was proud of her nursing career and never hesitated to tell somebody that she was a nurse. To Dale, nursing was a calling and she served it well.

Dale was my friend and I miss her. She wasn’t just a nurse, she was an exceptional nurse.
Dale had a twinkle to her eyes and a very dry wit. I would love to have known her longer. Dale loved her dogs and gave unselfishly of herself to the rescued pups. I know she must have been one heck of a pediatric nurse. We will all miss her.
Dale gave all her patients the humor and compassion that they needed while they were in the hospital, her pride at being a nurse was evident in everything she did. Nursing will miss Dale.
