Captain Glynn M. Harris, a resident of San Antonio, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in San Antonio. He was born on September 27, 1924 in Atlanta, GA. Captain Harris has now joined his beloved wife, Peggy L. Harris, in paradise. Captain Harris' wife, Peggy, passed away on August 17, 2009 in San Antonio. She was born on December 2, 1922 in San Francisco, CA. Both parents are survived by their beloved dog, Blitz Kreig and their daughter, Elan. Burial of both Captain and Mrs. Harris' remains will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

I first met Glynn “Dad” Harris early in 1952 at San Marcos AFB where we were in primary flight training as Army Aviators. We became good friends and on completion of fixed wing and helicopter training were assigned to the 30th Topographic Battalion at Fort Winfield Scott in San Francisco. We shared quarters there until my discharge in 1954 and remained friends for many years. I came to know his wife Peggy and daughter Elan and shared many happy moments with them. Dad and Peggy live on in my memories.
