Brother Bobbie Lee Hill was born on August 25, 1924 to Bob Edward Hill and Venice Lee Hill in Allen, Alabama. He departed this life on Sunday, November 8, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Luerean Hill; two brothers Mac Neil Hill and Elbert Lee Hill, and two sisters, Arlean Hill and Viola Hill. Bro. Hill was devoted to God and was an active member in the church until his health failed. He was a kind and quiet man. He was humble and possessed a compassionate spirit and he always saw the good in people. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and providing for his family was his greatest pleasure. While in the Navy from 1943 to 1946, Bro. Hill served his country and fought in World War II. He met Luerean Rankins Hill and they were married on November 1, 1950. The family resided in Mobile, Alabama until 1967. His job was transferred to Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, where he retired after a 30 year career as an aircraft mechanic. He also worked a second job with Rosemary's Catering Service for 25 years to ensure all of his family's needs were met. He spent his later years serving God, working in the church, and always being there for his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Eddie Lee Hill of Gosport, AL, and Nathaniel Hill of Mobile, AL; one sister, Nettie Hill of Mobile, AL; six children, Eddie Hill of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Dillard of Converse, TX, Jerome Hill of Katy, TX, Ivanetta Hartfield-Moundounga of Fort Worth, TX, and Maurice Hill, Sr. and his wife Aretha of Live Oak, TX; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
