Charles H. Benton

Charles H. Benton, age 60, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010, at his home in Lakehills, TX. Charles was born on September 23, 1949 in Corpus Christi. He was a life-long long haul truck driver. In addition, he was a veteran of the US Army, serving with the 97th MP Battalion in Vietnam. He is survived by his children: Scott Blair from Biloxi, MS and Julia from Seguin, TX. He is also survived by his mother, Fannie Benton and step-mother, Eileen Benton of Corpus Christi; brother and sister-in-law, Bryce & Holly Benton of Lakehills, TX; numerous nephews and nieces as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Benton, Jr., and a brother, John Thomas Benton of Corpus Christi. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed gardening. He was a beloved son, father, and brother and will be truly missed. Internment will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
