Frieda P. Billingsley
June 5, 1921 ~ January 18, 2010
Frieda (Kuntz) Billingsley passed away peacefully on January 18, 2010 at the age of 88. She grew up on a farm near Lindsey in north Texas in a family of 10 children. She spent most of her life in Albuquerque with her husband of 59 years, Claude, and two sons. She lived a full life as a wife, mother, Avon lady, bridge player, tennis player, line dancer, and devout Catholic. After her husband contracted cancer in 2004, they moved to San Antonio to be near one of their sons. Frieda became well known for her cheery, positive outlook. She was very appreciative of every kindness. She will be buried next to her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. She is survived by her sons Lee Billingsley of San Antonio and Tim Billingsley of Edmond, OK. She also has three grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Billingsley and Anne Williams, and two great-grandchildren. A mass to celebrate her life will be offered on January 30, 2010 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Gainesville, TX.

So sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing Lee. I remember how positive, smart and energetic she was. My wife and I offer our sincerest sympathies to you and your loved ones.
My deepest sympathy for the family. Sadly, we suffer because of Adam and Eve disobedience. But through Jesus death we have hope. We yearn for the day when sickness and the aging process is reversed. We also yearn to see our dear loved ones again. Jesus promised, “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” -John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29. Also Isaiah 33:24 and Job 33:25.
Dear Family of Frieda, My condolences to all of you. Frieda was my neighbor, church friend, Avon lady and special friend. I remember her dancing at the Coronado Club. She will be remembered in my prayers Cherish all your memories. In sympathy, Betty
We have very fond memories of Frieda and Claude. He was the mayor of Seminole neighborhood, and she was the first lady, doing her best to keep him in line. She was always watching a baseball game, playing bridge or cooking or outside washing her car! She never stopped moving, and was a most gracious friend and neighbor. Our hearts go out to you in your loss, but we celebrate her life with you. May God bless you throughout this time, and may happy memories soon replace your sadness. Love, Kevin and Marsha
Lee & Tim, headed to Gainesville now! Would not miss the celebration of Aunt Frieda’s life for anything. She was adored by all her nieces and nephews. Thinking of you both at this time, and I know there is lots of talking and laughing going on in Heaven now that Frieda is there! Love, Carol
Tim, Lee, and Family, It has been many years since I have seen you and your parents. I am so sorry to have learned about the recent loss of your Mother and your Dad several years ago. I remember your Mom & Dad and how supportive they were of you. I vividly remember their attendance and cheering at the Annunication basketball games. Your Mom was a real beautiful and cheerful person who regularly drove us boys to and from the games. Tim & Lee, you were very fortunate to have been raised and loved by such warm and caring parents. From all of the Geissler’s, you will be remembered in our prayers during this most difficult time. May the many wonderful memories of your Mom provide you with comfort, smiles, and love during the years to come. She was a very special person who will be missed. God Bless you and your families. Patrick & Josie Geissler Albuquerque NM
