Albert Robert George

Albert Robert George, of Boerne, TX, passed away on Sunday, January 03, 2016 at Cibolo Creek Nursing Home surrounded by family. He was 84 years old. He was born on December 08, 1931 in Boerne, Texas. Albert is a veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a good husband and father to his family. He took many family trips to his favorite Lake Amistad in Del Rio, Texas in which he landed numerous huge catfish. He also enjoyed telling stories, playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. He was a hard worker up until he retired 20 years ago. Albert is survived by is wife of 61 years Ellen Ann, daughter Karen George-McOwen and son-in-law Shawn McOwen. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Louise George; daughter, Linda Ann George; brothers, Julius George, Erich George and Fred George; sisters, Mitizi Scharmann, Tina Scharmann and Wilhelmina Brandt. He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family and friends. The family would like to thank Cibolo Creek Nursing Home staff and the wonderful staff at Alamo Hospice for their support during his passing and Edward Hinesley, II for his support during this difficult time.
