Mary Jane Cagle

God took his faithful servant into heaven's embrace on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving husband and children. Mary Jane Cagle was born on January 29, 1962 to Guadalupe Gutierrez in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mary attended Tuloso-Midway schools. She was a bus driver for Tuloso- Midway Middle School and later went to work for the Sam Kane slaughter house in Corpus Christi that supplies meat to HEB and other supermarkets in area. When Mary worked at Carquest Auto Parts she met the love of her life Vance Cagle. Mary and Vance moved to San Antonio and she was a stay at home Mom raising her three girls, Erica, Kassie and Ashlie. She loved traveling to Corpus Christi with her girls and loved to spend time with them. Mary loved to cook and make homemade tortillas for her family. When Vance had a triple bypass, Mary went to work for Fiesta Texas and was a faithful employee for twelve years until her health failed. Mary was a free spirited individual, who faced life's challenges head on. If there was a lesson to be learned, it was certainly that ability to press on, in life, whatever the circumstance. She was loyal and dedicated to her family and friends. Mary had a big heart and never met a stranger. She was the type of person who would give her last dollar to help someone in need. Her coworkers enjoyed her chicken enchiladas and they always knew when she brought menudo for breakfast because they could smell the onions as they walked in the door and everyone including Mary would laugh. Mary had an amazing spirit. Her gentle way, kind laughter, smile and abundant love will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother Guadalupe Gutierrez. She will be dearly missed by her husband , Vance Cagle; her three daughters, Erica Gutierrez, Ashlie Cagle and Kassie (Rocky) Perez of San Antonio, TX; her sister, Andrea Moreno and her brother, Bobby Ramirez of Corpus Christi, TX.; her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her Fiesta Texas family.
