February 7, 1942 ~ January 24, 2015
Billy Ray Spivey born, February 7, 1942, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Argie and Florence Spivey; son, Billy C. Spivey. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Spivey; daughter, Sherry Spivey Hartsfield; son and daughter-in-law; Jody Spivey and Sara Patrick; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other numerous relatives and friends. Billy was an active member of the local Sheet Metal Workers Union. He loved anything outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He made a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of young men which he coached through Little League and Pop Warner Football. He gave back to his local community by serving as President of the Kirby League and continued to support them by serving on the board for years. His warm heart and generous spirit will be remembered by all who have known and loved him. A visitation will begin Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:30 am with a Chapel Service to be held at 11:00 am at MeadowLawn Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart after the services with an Interment to follow at Salem Sayers Cemetery in Adkins, Texas.
