Shannon, our deepest condolences go to and your children on your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful neighbor for twenty-three yrs. She was such a giving person and we are honored to have known her. God bless you and your children.
My deepest sympathy for the family. May the promises in the Holy Scriptures brings comfort to you. The Bible promises one day soon, death will be swallowed up forever-Isaiah 25:8. We yearn for the day to see our dear loved ones again. Jesus promises, the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out -John chapter 5 verses 28, 29.
Having known Karen since 22 May 1973 has been both a very special privilege and a wonderfully rewarding experience. When she flashed that winning smile with that special twinkle in her eyes, one was captivated. She vowed early on in our relationship that we would always be the “very best of special friends.” Thankfully, that came to be true. For all that Karen has said I have been to her over the years, she has shared so very much more of her with me. Karen leaves behind a beautiful daughter and four lovely grandchildren as living testiment to her joyous life. Having left her failing body behind, peace and love are hers now. That done – she is free to spread her wings and fly…fly wherever it pleases her or a need exists. Fair winds young lady!
I am very sad to learn of the passing of Major Karen Bennington. She inspired me as a young Airmen (Psych Tech) in 1983 to become a nurse which I did in 1989. I joined the Navy and have since retired as a Commander. I am a Psych Nurse Practitioner and work as a GS Nurse at Camp Pendleton. Rest in Peace Karen. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. Brian J. Drew
