Phyromn Edger Conner

Phyromn Edger Conner was born, February 4, 1945, at 3:25 A.M., at Tri State Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born into the union of Edger Conner and Josephine Maxine Hall. His mother separated from his father, when he was around age 1 years old. She left Grambling College, and a teaching position and with Phyromn in tow, and unbeknown to Edger her husband, hailed a taxi to the train station, got off of the train in Houston, Texas, where they lived a short time with her oldest living sister, Ora, and brother in-law Buddy Mathis. Shortly afterwards, she returned home to Yoakum, Texas. Upon their arrival there, his mothers oldest brother, Monroe Hall, found her a job in San Antonio, Texas, and she and Phyromn relocated here. His Uncle Monroe, also introduced her to Willie Trembles, who his mother rejected at first, but eventually found him to be a worthy suitor. They married after her divorce from Edger, and his stepfather became his father. His name was changed to Phyromn Edger Trembles, and is the name he used as he matriculated through his formative years in school. There was never any discussion in the familys home in regards to step brother or half-brother. His parents insisted that their four children were brothers and sisters
Phyromn along with his younger three siblings, Massie Lee, Helen Fay, and Willie Jr, were all four baptized on the same day, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, by the late Rev. W.G. Gillespie. Shortly afterwards Progressive MBC split, and Rev. Gillespie organized Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Several months later, after the split, and assured that Mt. Gilead had secured a permanent place for worship, Deacon Trembles along with Josephine and their four children, all joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
Phyromn along with his mother and siblings all left Mt. Gilead, after his father who was now in ministry, was called to pastor Saint James Baptist Church, in Belmont, Texas. Throughout Phyromns as well as his three siblings lives, church was all that they knew. They all regularly attended Sunday school, morning, evening and night services, baptist training union, sung in the childrens, and youth choirs. In 2013, when Phyromn returned to San Antonio, he began attending Bethany First Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Pastor Ronald Benson, where he remained until GOD called him home. Phyromn had a soft and angelic voice. His favorite song to sing was the hymn, I come to the Garden Alone.
Phyromn received all of his early years of education through the San Antonio Independent School District. He was always very smart, quiet, and gentle, from childhood up. He kept the same demeanor as he grew into adulthood. Having overcome some struggles early in his adolescence, as a result of being told by his aunt Matilda that the man who had raised him since he was 1 or 2 years old, wasnt his father, crushed him almost beyond emotional repair.
After dropping out of Fox Tech High School in the 11th grade, he joined the Job Corp, located in San Marcos, Texas. It was while there that he completed his high school graduation requirements. After graduating from Job Corp, he went on assignments to Philadelphia, Indiana, California, and ended his assignments by returning to Houston, and again living with his aunt Ora. After all of the family continued to embrace him, as if nothing had changed, he ended his quest to find his biological fathers family, and began to live his life, leaving the pain which had consumed him for so long, behind him.
Phyromn thought it wise to return to school, so he enrolled and attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas for about 1 years. He found a job as an orderly in a hospital, where he was employed for a number of years. After leaving his job at the hospital, he went on disability, and never returned to the workforce.
GOD decided to call Phyromns soul and spirit back home to the kingdom, on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 10:40 AM., while in the care of his sister. Preceding him in death are his biological father, Edger Conner, parents Rev. Willie and Josephine Trembles, Sister Helen Fay, as well as his grandparents, uncles, and aunts, and four days later, after his passing, called his baby brother Willie Jr., He leaves her to rejoice at the fact that she no longer have to watch him suffer, his sister Massie (Johnnie) Wilson, nephews Brandon, Wayne and Anthony; nieces, April, Sheri, Roschell, and a host of second nieces, nephews, and cousins.

My condolences go out of the family of Mr. Phyromn Edger Conner…
It’s encouraging to read that having faith was such a huge part of the family. How wonderful it is to know that the enemy, death, will soon be done away with – “And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing” (1 Corinthians 15:26) And it’s joyful to note that the bible mentions there will be a time where we will be reunited with those that we have lost in death – “for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” (John 5:28,29) These scriptures have been such a help to my family & I hope they bring you comfort as well…
