Andres Cabrera was born in Cancun, Mexico and spent his childhood in swim trunks enjoying the beach. He always had a smile on his face.He was always looking for the perfect moment to play and joke on someone. He was 8 years old when we arrived at San Antonio. He adapted immediately to this country at if it was his own. Most of his friends only spoke English without realizing that he spoke Spanish. Since he was very young he was always willing to help others unconditionally. This is something that characterized him. He was very neat and orderly but terrible at eating his fruits and vegetables, which is why I would tell him that he wasn't going to grow tall and yet he was 6' 3". He was the most positive affectionate and friendly young man you had ever met with a magical smile that could mend any problem. He was never afraid to say "I LOVE YOU".

By all I’ve heard from family and friends he was the real deal. Two weeks ago I was fortunate to be at mass as he received his first communion. God bless you and rest in peace Andres, may the light of God continue to shine on your family especialy on these difficult days ahead.

Andres was a true gift from above. My family will never forget this wonderful boy, he saved both me and my brothers life. He always put himself before others, even when they didn’t deserve. I’m so blessed to have such a strong hearted angel watching over me. May his soul continue to dance with us all. I love you Andres, till we meet again sweetheart. Andres, siempre fue un nio que se adapto a las circunstancias, que disfruto cada momento en su vida, aunque muchas veces tuvo carencias, estas no le impidieron abrir su corazn a todos los que los rodeaban, nosotros su familia, aunque a la distancia, compartiamos sus logros, hoy nos ha dejado con un gran vaco, esta tragedia afecta a toda la familia. Andrs vivira en nuestros corazones por siempre.
We heard about the terrible accident that claimed the life of ANDRES, here in the RIO GRANDE VALLEY. Even though we never met, he was truly a great person who made such an impact in people’s lives. He was also the most gorgeous and most handsome young man ever. Our condolences and prayers go out to his precious and beautiful mother and family. LOVE LIKE ANDRES !
I first meet andres when he was 6 months since then he was always a boy with a simple on his face. Great friend, brother and son. We are all going to remember him forever.
