Andrew Mills Wilson, affectionately known as Andi, Baby, Tank, Chilli, Drew and Daddy was born on September 2, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, to Mills Wilson and Margaret Harden-Wilson.
Andrew graduated from Highlands High School and attended St. Philip’s College. He worked in a variety of positions which aligned with his interest in photography and technology. He followed his heart and married his high school sweetheart, and to this union two beautiful children were born. His life journey was one marked by growth, learning, resilience, and not by grand gestures but steady presence. He carried lessons of perseverance, faith, and survival that spoke to the depth of his character.
A man grounded in faith, Andrew began his Christian journey at Mt Sinai Baptist Church, where he was baptized. He later joined his wife and served faithfully as a Deacon at Gethsemane Baptist Church, demonstrating servant leadership and quiet strength. At the time of his passing, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Kevin L. Nelson, Pastor.
Andrew departed this life on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Edna Harden, Manse and Totteress Wilson, and his great-aunt Beatrice Stanley.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Yvette K. Wilson; his children, Solomon Wilson and Sarah Wilson; his parents, Mills Wilson (Texas City, TX) and Margaret Frazier; his siblings, Margaret Wilson-Anaglia (Albert), Ann Frazier-Penny (Clovis), Eva Frazier (Houston, TX), Gregg Smith (Chesapeake, VA) (Glacia), and Marcus Wilson (Bacliff, TX) (Tina); along with a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and incredible friends.
Though Andrew Mills Wilson’s physical presence has left this world, his spirit now rests in God’s eternal care. The light he carried, the hands he used to serve others, and the love he poured into his family will forever live on in the hearts and lives he touched.
