Born in: Hope Hull, Alabama
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Angelo E. Anderson was one of eight children born to Dan and Ruby Davis Anderson in Hope Hull, Alabama.  Angelo was born Feb. 28, 1956 into this loving family and passed peacefully on April 3, 2025 into the loving arms of God.  Angelo attended the local public schools and graduated from Central High School in Haynesville, Alabama in 1974.

He was a hardworking man who worked two jobs most of his life, some would call him a workaholic.  Following high school, he worked for Morrison’s Cafeteria and Montgomery Aviation before relocating to San Antonio, Texas in 1978. After moving to San Antonio, he began working for Chaparral Aviation and his love for flying took off. He worked for H.B. Zachery Group for 32 years and also did aviation work for Peter Holt and H.E.B.

In the later 1980’s he met and married Barbara Johnson and they were blessed with a baby girl, Neochie in 1987.  While he continued his strict work ethics they purchased a home and Barbara began building her day care while running a household and raising Neochie.  Several years later, he married Gail Evans in 2003 and they remained together until her passing in June 2024.  Even though he was a workaholic Angelo found time to entertain and bar-b-que most every weekend, even in the winter, he became the family Pitmaster and he also found time for his two favorite teams, The San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. In pursuing his love for aviation, he became a licensed pilot.

Angelo was proceeded in death by his father, Dan Anderson, Sr., sibling, Delois Jones and wife, Gail Anderson. He will always be remembered by his mother, Ruby Orise; daughter, Neochie Anderson; siblings, Annie Marshall, Dan Anderson, Jr. David Anderson, Washington Anderson, Sanjanetta Wilcox and Barnetta Postis; grandson, Sadorian Pickett; great-grandchildren, Saranyce Pickett, Jamari Pickett and Leila Pickett; niece, Ty-Asia Powell; Nakeisha Jenkins along with other loving family members and friends.
