Barbara A. Hardeman
October 1, 1937 ~ December 13, 2009
Barbara A. Hardeman was born to the parents of Steve and Maeola Deams Chandler, on October 1, 1937. Her brother Steve L. Chandler, Jr. preceded her in death. Barbara attended Dunbar middle school and graduated from St. Peter Claver. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age at West End Baptist Church. She married Ralph A. Harris, and to this union they had one child Ethel. Barbara later married George G. Hardeman, and had four other children, Deborah, Shelia, George, Jr. (Jerry) and Gregory (Greg-deceased). Barbara was fun loving, good-hearted person, easy to get along with and would give you the shirt off her back, if you asked. She enjoyed being in the company of the others, and loved a good joke, and stories about the past. She enjoyed arts and crafts painting, beading and needlework. Barbara loved eating, relaxing, a good long nap, her children, and all of her great grand kids. She spoiled them all, and made them all feel special. Barbara had a kind heart, and as soon as you meet her, you could not help but love her too! Barbara had been residing in Houston, Tx with her daughter, Deborah, and after a long illness she passed silently away on the morning of December 13, 2009. She leaves to mourn her memory daughters, Ethel L. Turner, Deborah A. Robinson (Houston, TX), Shelia Harper (Austin, Tx), son George Hardeman, Jr., grandchildren, Felicia A. Turner, Nikki, Brian, and Maurice Robinson, (Houston, TX); Mechelle Harrell (Seattle, WA); 13 great grandchildren; devoted cousin Willie Jean (Mikki) Hardeway; nephews Steve and Derrick Chandler, and a host of other friends and family members.
