Beverly Jean Gaston
August 26, 1946 ~ April 4, 2015
Beverly Jean Gaston was called home to be with our Lord on April 4, 2015 at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her brother: James E Gaston. She is survived by her siblings, Hattie L. Gaston, Osie Lavon Jenkins and husband Robert; and nephew, Omar Gaston; nieces, Evelyn Gaston and Tahneece (Jose) Blanco; nephews, Robert L Jenkins II and Jeffrey A. Jenkins, and two great nephews, Justus Blanco and Cambridge J. Jenkins; dear friends, Jo Drott, Glenda Brewer, Pamela Watkins, Briana Hill, and Michael Hill along with many other relatives and friends.

My dear sister-in-law will surely be missed. When I was stationed in Iceland for a year, Beverly left California and stayed with Osie and the boys (3 and 1 years old) until I returned. A caring sacrifice I will never forget.
Just like the whole Gaston family I’ve come to know and love, her expressions of kindness and love shined through because of her love for the Lord. Just like a beacon in the night, her faith in the Lord remained strong and true.
Oh yeah, she made the best banana pudding this side of the Mississippi.
Mom and i, send our prayers and condolences to Osie, Robert and the Family, our Family. Beverly is now in her Eternal Resting Place, behind God’s Gates.
I know you will all miss her, but she is never really be gone because she is in your hearts. A stanza from the poem “Safely Home” says it best.
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
Pray to trust our Father’s will.
It is hard to know what to say and it is still hard to believe that my aunt is not with us any longer, but I take comfort in the fact that she went home to be with the Lord. I will cherish all the memories and the good times that my family and I got to spend with my aunt. Aunt Beverly, you will be missed.
