My Condolences to the Thomas family
Billie Gene Thomas

December 27, 1938 ~ September 14, 2025
Born in:
Altheimer, Arkansas
Resided in:
Converse, Texas
On September 14, 2025, surrounded by love, Billie Gene Thomas peacefully departed this life at the age of 86. Born on December 27, 1938, in Altheimer, Arkansas, she built a life of faith, service, and compassion, eventually moving to Chicago, Illinois in 1998.
A longtime resident of Converse, Texas, she devoted many years to her calling as a Licensed Practical Nurse, caring for others with skill, dedication, and a gentle hand. Her devotion to her community extended beyond her profession—she joyfully served as a Sunday School teacher and lived her faith after accepting Christ at an early age and taught computer lab at St. Martin de Deportes for four years in Chicago, Illinois. She was also a proud and faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Those blessed to know her will remember her honesty and straightforward spirit, always rooted in love and care. She never hesitated to speak the truth, but it was always offered with kindness and the intention to uplift.
Billie is preceded in death by both parents. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of sixty-eight years Woodson Thomas, daughters Belinda Jean Taylor (Kenneth), Glenda Jean Hannah (Michael), Billie Gene Harrie (Thomas), Winona Jean Marshall, brother William Paul Caddell Jr, sister Sarah Alexander “Cuddy”, as well as grandchildren Michael Hannah II., Kenneth Charles Taylor II., Billie Jean Taylor, Kevin Charles Taylor, and Kennedy Jean Marshall, as well as fourteen great grandchildren.
Billie leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire her family and friends. Though she will be missed dearly, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
