Charla B. Ray

Charla Bryan Ray of Boerne, Texas, much beloved wife, mother and grandmother went peacefully to join her Lord April 14, 2010 following an extended and courageous battle with cancer. Charla was born September 7, 1933 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bryan. Charla graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1952. She married W. O. "Bill" Ray October 4, 1954 with who she remained for the next fifty-seven years. This union was blessed with three children. Kimra Lynn, William David and Dan Owen; five grandchildren, Hether, Will, Austin, Tyann and Peyton: and three great grandchildren, Natalie, Aden and Owen. After her children were raised Charla attended Howard Junior College in San Angelo receiving an LVN degree and nursed others for the remainder of her working life. Her parents and one brother Courtney D preceded her in death. Charla is survived by her husband, three children, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and sister Carole McKinnon along with numerous nieces and nephews. Special gratitude is extended to Dr. Steven Kalter and team of South Texas Oncology and Hematology for their years of dedicated care during her illness and to Odyssey Hospice of San Antonio for exceptional end of life care.
