Charles D. Buddy Davila passed peacefully from this life the morning of Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 51. Buddy was a 1985 graduate of Sam Houston High School where he played varsity baseball and football; he was known as the barefoot kicker/punter. Buddy loved music, sports, playing pool and being in the company of his family. His love for his nieces and nephews was beyond grand, for they were his everything. He will always be remembered as someone who loved regardless, lived selfless and walked fearless. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom L. Davila, Jr. and his niece Virginia J. Davila-Garcia. He is survived by his mother, Annie; brothers and sisters, Tom and wife Oma, Cynthia and husband Ed, Edward and wife Jennifer, Leonard and wife Veronica, and Tricia. Nephews and nieces, Marshall and wife Aimee, Denise, Michele and husband Will, Dana and husband Ryan, Jason, Travis and wife Lauren, Tavacci, Cheyenne, James, nephew/Godson, Nathaniel, Ella and Jett; Great-nieces and nephews, Jacob, Tiger, Leilani, Janessa, Colin, Matthew, Brooke, Eoughan, Tavacci Jr., Emma, TyLyah, Tavarion, Arihana, and James III. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks for the care, love and friendship given by Dr. Daniel Tamez and associates, Dr. Lisa Skabelund and associates, Dr. Thomas Oei and associates, Dr. Imam Tjahja and associates and Dr. Lisa Cabrera and associates. Special thanks to the Skyline Park Association for their prayers, love and friendship. Buddy, the special memories of you will always make us smile. You will forever be in our hearts until we meet again. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. A Memorial Service will be held for Charles at 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Meadowlawn Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow.
