April 3, 1992 ~ February 24, 2018
Christopher Rashaud Polk was born April 3, 1992, in San Antonio, TX to Glen and Elizabeth Polk. He was the middle child of three. Christopher was always filled with fun and laughter and had a smile that was larger than life. He had always shown us he was going to be him and live life to its fullest. Christopher was affectionately known as Chris P and Big Chris. Christopher is remembered as very kind, gentle, and respectful young man who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a very smart and highly intelligent young man who had many proud successes in his life. He most admired becoming a father in which he adored his baby girl, Kay-Kay. Chris graduated from William Taft High School in 2011, where he was a part of a football family "The Raiders #66". As a youth Chris was very active in sports, playing football, basketball, soccer, and running track on various community teams and schools. Chris continued his education at UTSA pursuing a degree in Business Administration which inspired his passion to become an entrepreneur. Chris founded the brand, Ape Life (After Paper Everyday) where he shared his success with his sister Jazmyne and his brother Darrell. Chris also was an amazing lyricist, he loved writing poetry and rap. As Chris continued to critic his talent, he became one of San Antonio's well-known up and coming artist. His music touched many and he received many accolades for his music and videos, along with collaborating with many well known artists such as Kevin Gates, Z-Ro, King Kylie, MO 3, French Montana, Trae the Truth, and many others. Chritopher truly loved the Lord and knew prayer and faith was the only option. Chris accepted his Lord and Savior at a young age at Alpha Joy Temple COGIC in San Antonio, Texas under the direction of Pastor Duane Hammons. He continued his growth in God at New Creation under Bishop David Copeland and Pastor Claudette Copeland where he was baptized. In 2007, Christopher became one of the beloved sons at Place For Life under the leadership of Bishop Rick Hawkins where he was loved and served until his death. God knew you were getting tired, and this life was not to be. He whispered out "Christopher, please come home to me." With tearful eyes we watched as you accepted that call indeed. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. The Lord dispatched His angels and sealed your lips away. Chris entered into eternity on February 24, 2018 at 2:47 AM. He leaves to cherish the moments and memories of his love by his only child, Kaydence Elice Polk, his parents Glen and Elizabeth Polk, his brother Darrell Dewane Lampkin, his sister Jazmyne Elizabeth Polk, his two nephews, his grandmother Bobbie Polk, and the mother of his child Simone McFarland. A host of uncles, aunts, cousin, friends, fans, managers, security, and a loving and supportive church family.

A bond that will never be broken. From the Powell Family
Hi Mrs. Polk my name is Sandra I am Vincent Harts mother I don’t think that I have met you personally but I did get a chance to meet your son Chris. I received the news of your sons death from my Grand son mother Judy Hart. I was so hurt and feel your pain because I to lost a son. I have prayed for you and your family. The only thing that I can say to you is that time is the only thing that will help to ease the pain, it will never, never go away but your burden will get lighter and you will just have to think about the good times and the time that God loaned you his child. I will continue to pray for you. Sandra Gore
I met Christopher when I attended UTSA. He was a very bright, kind, and ambitious young man. We would study together sometimes. His intelligence was impressive. He always spoke of making a name for himself in the industry and putting SA on the map. He was also very spiritual and we spent a lot of time talking about God and family. He really lived his family. It was a blessing to get to know him. I will forever cherish our time together.
Native of Yoakum,Tx it resides here in san antonio.I really did not get the chance to ask Chris if we was related. We was friends on Facebook for so long but never met in person. But for some reason, he did resemble my brother in the face that I had lost in 2003. He was gifted and talented in his music and will be greatly missed. May the Lord continue to give this family strength through this difficult time and justice be serve for his lost.
My prayers are with the Polk Family. I ask God to give you strength at this difficult time. RIP Christopher Polk.
