Clara Kowalik-Wiatrek, 90, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015, She was born August 12, 1924 in Kosciusko, Texas. Mom was a faithful servant of our Lord and beloved matriarch of our family. She had an adventurous spirit and love of life that included weekly family gatherings filled with laughter and lots of mischief. She loved her garden, her flowers, her country home and buddies, May-May and Bon-Bon. The love she poured into all of our lives will always be with us. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Ben Wiatrek, son Danny and grandson Travis. She is survived by her daughters Evelyn Eanes (Eddie), Virginia Kotara (Richard), Annette, Betty (daughter in law) and sons Elvan (Sherry), Adrian (Debe), Norman (Barbara) and grandchildren Keith, AJ, BJ, Cody, Tyler, Shawn, Ed, John, Stacey, Melissa, Kimberly, Tasha, Brandi, Tiffany, Tammy, Jennifer, Candy, Karrie and Karen and great grandchildren Seth, Willow, Kaylie, Kenzie, Whitley, Zayden , Kinley, Alexis, Emree, Kason, Matty and Natalie. Visitation is Wednesday August 5, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm at MeadowLawn Funeral Home 5611 E. Houston, San Antonio Texas 78220. Mass and internment will be held at St Jerome's Catholic Church 7955 Real Road, San Antonio, Texas on Thursday August 6, 2015 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Saint Jerome's Altar Society 7955 Real Road, San Antonio, Texas 78263, or the charity of your choice. Personal notes for the family may be left at www.meadowlawn.net.

  3. Evelyn, Virginia and Annette, Her picture is just how I remember her! What a wonderful woman she was, and thank you for the opportunities we had to trade laughs with her. She was such a great sport and would tease us with her retorts when she came to the office with one of you. We are grateful for the chance to know and enjoy her. We will miss her.
