Her parents Elias & Ernestina Gonzalez, sisters Gloria Gonzalez and Evangeline Hernandez preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Joe N. Doctor Jr, brother Eloy Gonzalez and sister Thelma Landon, her eight children Annie Doctor-Gordon, Lorraine Doktor-Menchaca, Margaret Doctor Caldwell, Joey Doctor, Elias Anthony Doctor, Steve Doctor, Misty Rose Doctor, Andres Doctor, 3 son-in-laws, 3 daughter-in-laws, 1 brother-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, neighbors and friends.
Mom was admired for her kindness to everyone she met. She loved people and would naturally strike up a conversation with those she met. She had endless compassion for people and her presence made many feel loved. She became baptized and dedicated as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in 1964. She had an unwavering faith and she enjoyed helping people learn about Jehovah, the god of the bible. She always welcomed family and friends with open arms, a warm embrace and a kiss.
Happily mom was married 62 years to the same man her husband Joe, and enjoyed many beautiful times in their marriage, traveling, serving their god Jehovah and raising their children. Mom was devoted to her children and always had encouraging advice for them and would tell them to always grasp Jehovahs right hand and never let go. Mom was known for her big heart and wanted to do anything to help her children and loved ones. Mom enjoyed cooking delicious meals for the family and friends and enjoyed sewing many garments for her family and friends in need. She was thoughtful, had a wonderful smile and she always put others first by giving of her time. As a teenager she was a DJ at a local radio station. At Edgewood high school she was nicked named The Square from Delaware as a school dancer as her proper manners were on full display. She enjoyed bebop dancing, all types of music, singing, and played the piano and drums proficiently. Moms beautiful heart will be missed and she believed strongly the bibles promise at Revelation 21:4 she will be resurrected in a paradise earth and will be reunited with her family.
The Doctor family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Noah Greene and many other doctors, nurses and health care workers for their care for Mom for many years. We sincerely thank our dear brothers and sisters in the many congregations of Jehovahs Witnesses in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and California for their love and support.

She reminds me of Sarah of the Bible set good example for all wives to follow
She was one of the greatest women I was very lucky and blessed to have in my life. She will truly be missed.
dahlia was a nice and kind lady. She is now in heaven looking over all of us.She will be missed but yet in a better place.
Dalia was my wonderful neighbor when I lived in San Antonio. She welcomed me with such a warm greeting. She always was in good spirit and ready to lend a helping hand when I needed something. We continued to stay in touch even after I moved away. She always expressed how much she missed being my neighbor. She is and always will be a beautiful and special lady in my heart. Dalia until we are neighbors again, Rest In Peace
Dalia was a beautiful person, Angelically balance with love, kindness, joy, and genuine concern for everyone ! She was an inspiration for those who seek to know the word of Jehovah . She could quote Scripture by heart, on the spot of whatever topic was at hand ! It would be impossible for me to say that she is no longer here with us, because she left behind her loving husband and her beautiful children . Each of them have a distinct character or trait that harbors the uniqueness of her personality. May our paths cross again, we love you and miss you Sister Dalia Doctor !

Nothing is harder than losing your ‘mom’. The promise we have at John 5:28 and Rev 21:4 is the only thing that got me through the loss of my mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Joey, and your family at this sad time. Jehovah be with you.
Our hearts are broken and go out to our cousin Dalia, who we all love so, so much. Cousin had the biggest heart and we miss her, but we will see her someday. My cousins Joe and Dalia had a beautiful marriage. They loved each other so very much. They have a beautiful family and we love them all because they have kind hearts like my cousins, Joe and Dalia. We pray everyday for all of you, always. Love you all, Melinda, Carmelo and Carmelo III.
