Diana Garza entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 61. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 26, 1961 to the late Trinidad Compian and Matias S. Garza. Diana received her Associates of Applied Science degree from St. Phillip’s College in 1992. She worked as an Inpatient Medical Coder at various hospitals throughout her career to include: Nix Health for over 20 years, Baptist Health System, Christus Santa Rosa, and University Health System. However, she was currently employed with Aquity Solutions and worked remotely from home.

Diana enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever she was able. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with her daughter in the kitchen as the sous-chef and greatly enjoyed participating in menu creation for the week. Although she had a lot of favorite meals, she greatly enjoyed a fresh pot of beans, hot soup, and enjoyed having watermelon any chance she could get. Diana enjoyed taking road trips, both solo and with friends or her daughter, especially to the beach. She had a deep love for animals, especially her cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jose Rafael Urbina. Diana is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Garza; siblings, Anna Garza (Eliseo), Bertha Benedetti (Joe), Matias Garza Jr. (Maggie), Carrie Sierra, David Garza, Johnny Garza, Eddie Garza (Giselle), Chris Garza (Amy); numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her fur babies. She will be greatly missed by everyone who was touched by her kindness and loving heart.

I know she loves you was so proud of you. She was always so nice to me and would talk every time we saw each other in passing, the cafeteria wherever it was . She always had a compliment to throw out or something nice to say . she was easy to talk to and get along with.

  6. Diana was a kind lady and fun to be with. She and Kimmie were a part of a monthly game night at Casa Sol lead by Debbie Braddock. We had a lot of good times and laughter. She will be missed.
