Donald K. Johnson

Mr. Donald Keith Johnson passed away on February 3, 2026. He was born on June 30, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas, to Willie N. Johnson and Ernestine Wells Johnson.

Donald was preceded in death by his loving parents and his siblings, Michael Johnson and Arlene Washington Lockett.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted brother, Ronald Johnson and wife, Lena; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives he touched in countless ways.

A proud graduate of Highlands High School, Class of 1979. During his high school years, he played football and built friendships that would last a lifetime.

While he worked diligently throughout his life, Donald’s true passion was cooking. A talented chef, he found great joy in preparing meals and bringing people together through food. He proudly worked for himself as a caterer, sharing his gift with others at special events and gatherings. Cooking was more than a skill—it was his love language.

As the baby of the family, Donald held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. He showed deep devotion and compassion by caring for his parents during the final years of their lives, demonstrating his selfless and loving nature.

Donald was always happy and a joy to be around. He carried a warm smile, a gentle spirit, and a calm presence. Those who knew him often remarked that he was never one to be angry—he chose kindness, laughter, and positivity instead. His lighthearted nature and generous heart will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, his meals, and his unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
