Dear Johnnie and Family, What a beautiful example of love to have cared for your mother in your home surrounded by family and new life and grandchildren. I extend my sympathy and prayers. Sincerely, Mary Heye
It was a great honor to know your Mom and always a deep joy of my heart to see her and talk with her. She had and has a profoundly strong and persevering spirit. She always encouraged me and made me feel strong. As she now rests in preparation for her next life I feel deep appreciation that you are celebrating her victorious life the way that you have planned. I imagine her heart jumping with joy and gratitude because of it.
Dear Johnny, We were deeply saddened by the news about the death of your Mother. Please remember that you are in our thoughts and our prayers. I know how much you will miss your mother, but you can take comfort and strength from the wonderful family you have. I know their love will get you through this difficult time. We apologize for not been able to attend Ms. Robbins’ Memorial Service. Please receive our sincere sympathy and respect. Wisdom for Modern Life by Daisaku Ikeda: I believe that whether we can live a truly satisfying life to the end depends to a considerable extent on how we view death. As a Buddhist, I find it helpful to compare the cycles of life and death to the daily rhythms of waking and sleeping. Just as we look forward to the rest sleep brings after the efforts and exertions of the day, death can be seen as a welcome period of rest and re-energizing in preparation for a new round of active life. And just as we enjoy the best sleep after a day in which we have done our very best, a calm and easy death can only follow a life lived to the fullest without any regrets. The Etienne Family
