With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend, Dorothy “Dottie” Hilton, who left this world peacefully on June 27, 2025, just days before her 96th birthday.
Born on July 10, 1929, in New York City, Dottie was a bright and joyful soul from the start. Her early years in the bustling city shaped a strong, spirited woman who would go on to touch countless lives with grace, kindness, and quiet strength. Later in life, she made San Antonio her permanent home—a place where she created decades of cherished memories surrounded by those she loved most.
A devoted follower of Christ, Dottie’s faith was the foundation of her life. From a young age and until her final breath, she held steadfast to her beliefs, living out her values with humility, compassion, and a heart full of love.
She found her greatest joy in the presence of her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether gathered around the table for a meal, sharing stories, or simply enjoying one another’s company, her love was a constant, comforting presence.
Dottie was a woman of many talents and passions. She was an avid bridge player, a skilled knitter and seamstress, a devoted reader, and an enthusiastic golfer. Her gentle laughter, sharp wit, and good humor brought warmth to every room she entered, and her kindness left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we celebrate a long and beautiful life filled with love, faith, and laughter. She was, and always will be, a blessing to us all. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the faith she embodied. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
