I’m so sorry to hear the loss of one of my classmates and longtime friends. I grew up with Dorothy in San Antonio, although she lived on the west side and I on the east side. We also connected during our church I involvement where she was a member of West Side COGIC. During the time I knew her, Dorothy always had a pleasant smile for EVERYONE she met; and, I never known her to say an unkind word to anyone. Although it’s been years since I’ve seen her – I’ve lived in California since the ‘60s, I’d bet she’s the same Dorothy today that I knew back then. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers to get through this difficult time. I loved your Mom and I tried to stay in touch with her after we left Ft. Sam. We exchanged Christmas cards and letters and talked on the phone a few times but then my cards starting being returned a few years ago and I knew she must have moved. She’s been on my mind this last few days and I decided to try to find out if something had happened. I found her obituary on Legacy.com and I was just so sorry to learn of her passing. She was a very special person. She just seemed to handle everything with such dignity and grace and I learned so much from her. I loved working with her. She was so proud of all of you and loved you all so very much.
Love,
Connie Smith
