Edward V. Manning, Jr.

OBITUARY: Edward V. Manning Jr., a resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away at his home on May 5, 2011 at the age of 66. Edd was born on March 3, 1945, in Paterson, New Jersey to Edward V. Manning and Barbara T. Manning and grew up and completed high school in Watertown, New York. He spent his professional career in the commercial and residential building industry, most recently at Parrish Companies and Lowe's, both of San Antonio. He was also a long-time resident of Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma prior to settling in Texas. He had a great affinity for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. During his time in Oklahoma, Edd enjoyed hunting upland game and developing and training sporting dogs. After moving to San Antonio he often enjoyed saltwater fishing along the Texas coast. Edd was fond of living in south Texas and spoke highly of his time spent working for Parrish Companies. He also enjoyed collegiate and professional sports and avidly followed the Oklahoma Sooners and San Antonio Spurs. Edd is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Robert J. Manning. He is survived by his son, Chris Manning of Denver, Colorado, daughter Brooke Wigington and her husband Dustin Wigington of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two granddaughters, his sister Carol Volpe of Canton, Massachusetts and his sister-in-law Nancy Helsper of San Diego, California. A memorial service for Edd will be held at on March 24, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
