Elida G. Dinkens, born February 8, 1950, was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 11, 2011. She had 61 wonderful years of blessed memories with her family and loved ones. Ms. Dinkens was preceded in death by her loving husband, John H. Dinkens, and is survived by her children, Dawn Charles, Christopher Valot Jonathan Dinkens; daughter-n-law Priscilla Valot, son-n-law Aaron Charles, grandchildren Tre and Devin, and godchildren: Michael, Sayvon, Anaise, Trevor and Katelyn. She was loved and will also be missed by her four sisters: Lupe, Josie, Rosie and Elva; as well as numerous family members and friends she always counted as a blessing from God. She will be remembered for her strength and courage. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:45am Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or become an organ donor.

Jonathan, You and your family are in my prayers, there are no words that I can say that will ease your pain, but know that your mother is free from pain and has reunited with your father, her husband. She is smiling and her body is whole again,you have two angels now watching over you.
