Ernest Aaron Humphreys

Ernest Aaron Humpherys, 71, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on March 22, 2015. His life will be celebrated on April 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at MeadowLawn Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas. Ernest was the son of Clarence Edward Humpherys and Jean Armean Humpherys born on February 22, 1944 in San Antonio, TX. He was the beloved brother of Peggy Howard, Lois Nolan (James) and Clarence Edward Humpherys, Jr. Ernest graduated from Wheatley High School in San Antonio, Texas and received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah. He was a member of the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in which he was a qualified parachutist. He retired from Missouri/Union Pacific Railroad after working over 20 years as an Engineer. Ernest enjoyed fishing, photography, animals, and repairing small engines. He will be remembered for his robust knowledge of everything...lovingly known as The Professor ... as well as his great sense of humor. Ernest' is survived by his children Edward Aaron Humpherys, Amitra Jean Humpherys and step-daughter Anissa Janye' Lewis; grandchildren Edisha Brown, Shardee' Humpherys, Edward Aaron Humpherys II, Yasmine Barnes, Noah Humpherys, Aidan Lewis-Dunn, August Lewis and Autumn Lewis; great-grandchildren Jacari Mincey, Kendrick Knight, Semaj' Richardson, Serenity Richardson, Christian Humpherys, and Cheyenne Humpherys; and many nieces and nephews.
