Estefana "Fane" Garcia was born in Kenedy, Texas to Antonio and Carmen Garcia. "Fane" as she was affectionately called was the fifth child of eight children. The family lived in Kenedy, Texas until they moved to Valle Hermoso, Tamp. Mexico.
Early in her life she and her husband Pedro Garza(deceased) moved to Edinburg, Texas where her first daughter, Gloria, was born. Later she moved to Brownsville, Texas where she met and married Pedro Moctezuma and to this union her second daughter, Janie was born. After her children grew up and married, she moved to be near them in San Antonio, Texas.
Prior to Fane suffering from Alzheimer's disease she loved music and dancing, she also enjoyed playing bingo. Fane came to know the Lord in the later years of her life. She would read her bible daily. When she lived on her own she loved helping her elderly neighbors by cleaning and cooking them a good hot meal. Fane loved to walk and would walk seventeen blocks to and from church.
Estefana was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Carmen Garcia; brothers, Jose, Israel, Severo and Servando Garcia; sister, Dolores Johns and grandson, Pedro Recio.
Estefana is survived by her loving daughters and their spouses, Gloria and Leonardo Recio, Sr., Juanita "Janie and Rigoberto Garcia; grandchildren, Juan and Leo Recio, jr., Noemi Mercer, Monica Sul, Lydia Horstman, Rita and Viviana Garcia; Great granchildren, Bryan, Branden, Marissa, Erik, Kaleb, Gabby, Autrey and Landon.
Fane will be deeply missed.

Dear Cousin Robert, thank you so much for sympathy and kind words. It has been very difficult for me but I trust in the Lord to give me the strength to move forward knowing that Mom is not suffering any more and is rejoicing in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
